Description

Meet one of the members of the jewel bug family! This family has amazing coloured bugs and this bug definitely has amazing colours. They suck on stems of plants and their favorite food is horehound weed but as this is hard to get a hold of so we feed ours stems of salvia plants or ornamental plants.  Their care is basically the same as stick insects, just place new leaves/stems once a week or when drying out. These species are communal making them great display insects. These insects are harmless and safe to hold.
