Terms Of Service
In order to place an order with our company, you acknowledge that you are over 18 years of age and have read and agreed to our terms and conditions. It is not the responsibility of our company to assume any liability for injuries or conditions caused by an invertebrate purchased. You are responsible for familiarizing yourself with state laws. Our customers assume full responsibility for the invertebrates they purchase from us, including possession, ownership, care, and shipment.
In the event that you change your mind after you have submitted your order, you will not be refunded. All sales are final and payment is required immediately. We accept payments via PayPal. We are not responsible for packages delivered to the incorrect address, so please ensure that your address is accurate.
When an invertebrate is delivered or picked up dead, we require notification within two hours of receiving it. A photo of the deceased invertebrate is required. Shipping costs and associated fees are not refunded. No replacements will be offered. Freebies are not replaceable or refundable.
In the event that you purchase our live products, you acknowledge that the invertebrate may die at any time, without explanation. Therefore, we only offer you a seven day guarantee to cover deaths caused by circumstances within the shipping process that are beyond your (and our) control. Our invertebrates are not guaranteed after 7 days from the date of shipment. If your invertebrate begins to exhibit symptoms of illness after the 7 days, please contact us for advice on how to care for it so that your invertebrate will live as long as possible. The invertebrate is in your care and you are responsible for providing for its needs after 7 days. We do not take responsibility for the invertebrate after 7 days.
Despite the fact that Outback Bugs strives to describe products in as accurate a manner as possible, human error occurs sometimes. The descriptions of products may be changed at any time so that they more accurately reflect product information. Errors in descriptions and estimated sizes will not be refunded. We reserve the right to refuse service and cancel orders at any time.
Shipping
Australia Post has informed that there may be significant delays in services, such as overnight delivery, as a result of COVID-19. As a result, live insects are only shipped on Mondays so that they will arrive safely and quickly. In all other cases, you can expect your order to be shipped within the next day – unless it is part of a live insect order which will only be shipped on a Monday (enclosures coming soon).
You can request a refund from Australia Post if your order is lost in the mail, or damaged during transit. Be sure to take photographs of the damage in order to file a claim. Once the damage/death has been informed to us, please take the package to your nearest post office for them to determine what needs to be done. In the event that your order exceeds $100, we will take out insurance on your behalf through Australia Post. If you have any more questions, please email us at info@outbackbugs.com.au. We do not ship to NT and TAS. We currently do not ship to WA but this may change in the future.
